About Me

So I guess I should start with the classics: My name's Kelly and I'm from Wayne, New Jersey. Yes, I do know the people from that show "Real Housewives of New Jersey." I actually grew up with one of them and know the family pretty well, but no, I'm not like that. My family is extremely down to earth and are so much fun to be around. My brother, Matt, is a junior here at Penn State. The transition was definitely easier for me knowing he is only a half an hour walk away. I can't say the same for my sister though. She lives in England with her husband so clearly that is not a thirty minute walk. No matter the distance, my parents, brother and sister really mean a lot to me and shaped me to who I am now. I also had the best group of friends back home. Everyone knew that we hung out all the time and we had been close since the elementary school days. It was hard to leave, but we are all so excited to meet new people.

I was a cheerleader and dancer in high school. I even coached two competitive cheerleading teams when I was not taking dance classes of my own. My school was really big into sports and school spirit so I did not want to lose out on that when coming to college, making Penn State the perfect place to be. I'm a big New York Giants fan and Yankees fan so sorry to Steelers and Phillies fans, we might not get along that great during the seasons. We can still try our best to be friends.

  1. I was looking through all of the blogs I noticed you had something that no one else had. You had the quote from Bill O'Brien right underneath your title and it almost caught my eye instantly. I loved how you incorporated the pride of Penn State in your blog. Also, I felt this quote was appropriate for the blog because it is all about you and we are all freshman staying true to white and blue.
